Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked cookies, unless it’s the smell of money being made. Why not have both? The afternoon lull is what I call it. That witching hour where you have moved beyond lunchtime and you are half-way to quitting time. You need a nap, but have to keep moving on. Many people grab a cup of coffee, a fountain drink or a candy bar during this time of day as a quick “pick-me-up,” but why not offer them a warm, gooey, fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookie (or any kind of cookie as far as I’m concerned)? And what about those kids just leaving a long day at school, headed to the ballpark…. What are they craving? Offer them a fresh, hot cookie, since mom didn’t have time to.
